No Bake Strawberry Cream Pie

Summer time is filled with holidays and cookouts. So when you’re asked to bring dessert, what is your go to recipe? For me, it’s my strawberry cream pie! It’s light, can be made ahead of time, and doesn’t require an oven. That’s right, a delicious dessert that does not require an oven and can be put together in minutes.

To flavor the cream, you simply add a packet of jello powder. And you can choose any flavor! I usually go with strawberry just because I love the flavor and love to add fresh strawberries to it. But you can also do raspberry, cherry, lemon, or any jello flavor you like! You don’t actually make the jello according to the package, but instead, use the powder to sweeten your whipped cream. The mixture is then added onto a graham cracker crust then chilled in the fridge for a bit. The pie turns out thick and creamy with the perfect crunch from the crust and tang from the jello.

You may have a bit of the cream mixture leftover. If so, don’t throw it away! You can use it as a dip for graham crackers, pretzels, or fruit.
*Now, I’ll go ahead and add a little disclaimer. This pie is in no way healthy. But a little indulgence every once in a while never hurt anybody! Or at least, not when it comes to indulging in pie.

Ingredients:

  • 1 graham cracker crust
  • 3 oz. pack of powder jello mix (any flavor you like!)
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • fresh fruit to top

Directions:

Place a metal mixing bowl with your mixing beaters into the freezer at least 10 minutes before preparation. Once bowl and beaters are well chilled, remove from freezer. Add your heavy whipping cream into the bowl and beat on high for about 3 minutes or until soft peaks begin to appear. Then add your jello powder and mix until just combined. Transfer mixture to graham cracker crust and let chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes. Top with any fruit desired. Serve and enjoy!
