Aldi Find Pumpkin Bread with French Toast Recipe!

The fall season is finally here in the south! It has been below 90 degrees for three days straight now. Crazy right?! haha And the cool weather has me craving all the pumpkin things. Thankfully, Aldi has my back on this! They brought back their Organic Pumpkin bread that is to die for.

I normally just toast the pumpkin bread but then I thought, why not try it as french toast?
Unpopular opinion: french toast is better than pancakes! Especially when it’s pumpkin french toast topped with pure maple syrup and homemade whipped cream. On the side, we had organic strawberries and maple sausage. All the ingredients were bought from Aldi and the recipe was simple and quick to put together!

This recipe is dairy free, but feel free to use regular milk and butter in it’s place if you need to!

French Toast Ingredients:

  • 6 slices Aldi Pumpkin Bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

Directions:

Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla to a bowl and whisk together. Once skillet is hot, add the coconut oil. Then dunk each slice of bread into the egg mixture and immediately place into the hot skillet. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Serve warm with maple syrup and whipped cream.

Whipped cream ingredients:

  • 1/2 pint of heavy whipping cream
  • 1 to 2 tbsp sugar

Directions:

At least 10 minutes before preparing whipped cream, place a metal bowl with your metal mixer whisks into the freezer. Once bowl is chilled, remove from freezer and add whipping cream. Mix on high speed until soft peaks form then add sugar to taste and gently mix until just combined. Any extra keeps well covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
